ALWAYS WELCOME
The Always Welcome stamp set features an arched front door with loads of accessory images for decorating and creating a warm and inviting entryway scene. You’ll enjoy creating cards that invoke the feelings of home, that place where you are always welcome and surrounded by those who love you.
What I love about the Always Welcome stamp set is that it isn’t just for the obvious “new home” or “new neighbor” occasions. It’s also perfect for celebrating those everyday moments that give you the love and warmth that only “home” can provide. I recently stayed a long weekend with my sister in her new home in Texas. Not only is her home gorgeously decorated but she went out of her way to make me feel so incredibly welcomed by having all of my favorite snacks, drinks, and my favorite type of pillow for sleeping. We had such a wonderful time together (we always do!) that I came straight home and created my card sample today is a thank you card for my sister…for always making me feel at home.
Essential Ingredients:
- Always Welcome Stamp Set
- SugarCut – Always Welcome Die Set
- English Bond Brick Wall Stencil
- SugarCut – Home Scrip Word
- Home Is With You Stamp Set
- Copic Markers
- Ranger Texture Paste
Step By Step Instructions:
- Started by heat embossing the brick path/walkway image from the Always Welcome stamp set in white embossing powder onto an A2 white cardstock panel to create the look of sand/grout between the pavers/bricks.
- Stamp the images from Always Welcome stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic friendly cardstock.
- Color images with Copics and trim with the coordinating SugarCut – Always Welcome die set.
- Sponge/brush a light grey ink onto the A2 cardstock panel using the English Bond Brick Wall Stencil.
- While the stencil is still in place, sloppily apply Transparent Matte Ranger Texture Paste to the inked bricked areas to create texture and dimension.
- Using the SugarCut – Home Script word die, cut brown mustard and dove grey cardstock and assemble.
- Stamp a coordinating sentiment from Home Is With You Stamp Set with Versamark ink onto black cardstock, heat emboss in white and trim to size.
- Create the scene by arranging the images and greeting onto the card front while adding foam tape to the back of images to create depth and dimension.
- Trim white cardstock panel and layer onto a cut and scored A2 black cardstock base.
Although my favorite part about the coordinating SugarCut – Always Home die set is that the die will cut to make this door actually open, I decided to make it non-functional this time by layer the greeting across the door instead. But trust me…I have tons of ideas to have the door open where you’ll see the other Let’s Stay Home sets as the interior. It’s going to be so cute…I can’t wait!
