SHUT THE FRONT DOOR
Let your creations make an impressive entrance with Shut The Front Door! This die set features a portico gabled roof, a decorative FRONT DOOR THAT REALLY OPENS, columns, topiaries, carriage lights, and a welcome mat. Create and send a warm welcome to new neighbors, congratulations to new homeowners or hospitality thank you notes. This is a delightfully fun interactive and detailed die set that both you and your recipient will enjoy.
I created this card for my niece and her husband who are moving into their new home next week. My niece wanted a soft pink front door color, however, try as she might she couldn’t convince her husband to agree…so she’ll have settle for this instead. 😉
Essential Ingredients:
Step By Step Instructions:
- Brush/Sponge light gray ink onto a white cardstock panel using the English Bond Brick Wall Stencil to create background.
- Die cut all the pieces from the SugarCut – Shut The Front Door die set in an assortment of cardstock colors.
- Using Glue with a fine tip, glue and arrange/assemble die cut pieces onto the cardstock panel adding foam tape to the back of the coach lights and topiary pots to create depth and dimension.
- Adhere the card front panel to a cut and scored A2 kraft cardstock base.
I skipped adding a greeting or sentiment to the front as I wanted the door to stay the main focus so the sentiment is stamped on the inside. But I had to add a fun element for when the front door opened by adding the sleeping dog image from the Let’s Stay Home stamp set to be seen when you opened the front door. Sadly, I realized while writing this post that I didn’t take a photo of that – so you’ll have to trust me…it’s so CUTE!!
