The SugarPea Designs Creative Team and I are so excited to share a few of the projects that we’ve created with our NEW Summer Product Release. And all of the products that we will be introducing this week will be available for purchase starting this Friday, July 2 at 2PM EST in the SPD Store.

CAPTAIN OF MY HEART
Arrrgh you ready to sail the high seas with Captain of My Heart? This 4×6 stamp set features a darling pirate girl who is searching for adventure, birthdays, friendship and more! The treasure trove of clever sentiments are perfect for a variety of card making occasions.
PIRATE TREASURE MAP STENCIL
“X” marks the spot with our Pirate Treasure Map Stencil. Use the four outer edges of the stencil to create a torn map look OR use the center scrolled map for a more traditional design. Adventure awaits as you add path lines, water elements, mountain ranges and warnings of danger to your map.
AHOY
This fun and playful 2-piece word and shadow die is in a whimsical handwritten font and makes a perfect greeting for all of your nautical and pirate themed cards, gift tags, treat packaging, and more!
The card sample that I have for you today looks like it took a lot of time and effort, but the fantastic NEW Pirate Treasure Map Stencil made everything so easy.
Essential Ingredients:
- Pirate Treasure Map Stencil
- Captain of My Heart stamp set
- SugarCut – Captain of My Heart die set
- SugarCut – Ahoy
- SugarCut – Stitched Rectangles
Step By Step Instructions:
- Using a variety of Oxide Distress Ink colors, sponge/brush ink onto cream Stitched Rectangle cardstock panel using the Pirate Treasure Map Stencil.
- Lightly ink the panel edges to create a distressed look.
- Stamp the images from Captain of my Heart stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic friendly cardstock.
- Color images with Copics and trim with the coordinating SugarCut – Captain of my Heart die set.
- Stamp sentiment from Captain of my Heart with Versamark ink.
- Arrange images onto the scene and add foam tape to the back of images to create depth and dimension.
- Add Nuvo Drops and Stickles Glitter Glue to add sparkle and shine to the stamped images.
- Adhere the stitched panel to a cut and scored A2 black cardstock base.
