Hi everyone! Jennifer here with today’s inspiration. I wanted to show you the result of my playing with distress inks and some of the SugarCuts Dies. Amazing how something so simple can create something so fun!
I inked some Bristol paper using the graduating color palettes of Distress Ink. Once I had it inked all I had to do was put in my nesting SugarCut – Stacked Honeycombs and cut a few all at once. With the even spacing and the variety of sizes, this was so fast and created a bunch of honeycombs to play with.
I just chose random sizes and color combinations and formed patterns until I got them how I liked them. Originally I planned a stamped sentiment (which would be totally great too) but thought the SugarCut – Hello was an even better choice. A little more ink brushing and some quick cuts and those were done too.
Using foam tape, I popped all the die cuts up for a bit of extra texture on black and white card stock. You can see that I even had a few left so I can use them for one more card. I hope you enjoy this great way to stretch your shaped dies and will even give it a try. Thanks for stopping in today!
