During this time of crisis it’s more important than ever that we reach out and thank those who are working hard and providing essential services within our communities. Anyone who’s an essential employee, no matter what they’re doing, deserves our gratitude because they don’t have the luxury of staying or working from home.
I wanted to reach out to thank someone who deeply impacts my life on a daily basis and that is my Mail Carrier, Luis. Every day, Luis picks up and delivers boxes, bins and totes full of packages going out to SugarPea Designs customers. I made a simple card to let him know how much I appreciate his hard work and dedication.
I started with coloring the Happy Mail penguin with Copic markers and then cutting the cardstock panel using the smaller frame from the SugarCut Postage Stamp Cover Plate die set. I adhered that panel to a Navy Blue card base that I sponged with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink using the English Brick Wall Stencil.
I added a glittery gold greeting with the SugarCut Thanks word die and Glitter Cardstock Sampler Pack. I added a little stitched envelope with a red heart using the SugarCut Special Delivery Accents die set.
For a finishing touch, I added Glossy Accents to his beak, feet, eyes and the shield on his cap. A few Nuvo Drops were added to create movement and texture.
I can’t wait to see who you thank this month. xo
Now, it’s your turn. You have until midnight EST, Thursday, April 30, to add your link and be eligible for a $25 Gift Voucher to be spent in the SugarPea Designs store. Our winner will be chosen at random to ensure that everyone has a chance to win!

April 3, 2020 at 4:16 pmI love this card! I am a retired mail carrier and I am really thankful I do not have to be out there. They are under appreciated most of the time. I hope they are tipped well this Christmas.
