Happy Friday, SugarPea friends! It’s Amy here you today with an inspired card for you today. My awesome daughter gifted me the book you see in my photos below, and I was so inspired by the cover design that I had to find a way to recreate it. I’d originally planned to make a set of thank you cards, but this design isn’t necessarily one for mass reproduction. Let’s call it a one of a kind!
Aren’t the colors just gorgeous? And the gold just pushes me right over. I poured over my SugarPea stash looking for just the right stamps and was giddy to find the perfect stamps in Watercolor Brush Strokes and Celebrate All The Things.
I started with the pink impressions first and then the bit of seafoam green on the left. Then I had to decide how to get just bits and swipes in blue versus a full on stamped impression, so I used a combo of blue painter’s tape and washi tape (make sure it’s not too sticky by swiping it on and off you shirt or something to lessen the stickiness). I ripped the tapes down the center so I’d have uneven edges on which to stamp between.
I used this masking technique for both the blue and gold brush strokes. I also used the masking technique with the confetti stamp from Celebrate All The Things. It just took some time to position the tape and stamps, but I’m really tickled with the end result. I’m sure you’re surprised to see Hello again, right? That die has become my SugarPea addiction!
Thanks so much for sharing part of your sweet day with me here on the SugarPea Designs blog. I hope you have an absolutely inspirational weekend!
~Amy

Love when a plan comes together and I think I’d make a notebook just like that book cover too!! Great inspiration and love that you shared this with all of us!
