Having Birthday cards on the ready is essential and is always a favorite theme for all cardmakers. It’s such a wonderful way to let a loved one know how much they mean to you. Participating in this month’s theme should be an easy one for us all.

For our Meant To Be Sent challenge, SugarPea Designs products are encouraged but are not required to be eligible for the giveaway. All we ask is that you follow the theme and MAIL your card!

I started my card design with the current, August Mix It Up Challenge sketch and color inspiration in mind.

Using the SugarCut – Floral Pocket Tag die set, I cut the floral dies multiple times from sheets of a felt in a fall color palette. After I was happy with the arrangement of the florals I glued them all together. Next, I reached for my favorite SugarCut – Card Front Element Builder die to create the scalloped panel. I stamped a kraft cardstock panel with the Handwritten Letter background stamp using VersaMark ink and then adhered it to the card front with foam tape.

For my greeting, I chose the SugarCut – Happy word die which I then cut in a soft gold color found in the Glitter Cardstock Sampler Pack and paired it with a gold heat embossed birthday sentiment from the Happy Thoughts stamp set.

All that was left to do was to glue everything into place and add a few sequins for a little sparkle!

I can’t wait to see the Friendship cards that you’ll be sending to someone special this month. xo
