Hi everyone! It’s Laura here, and today I am back to show you the card I created for my DT Feature post here on the SugarPea Designs blog. For today’s project I decided to create a Fall scene using the adorable Indian Summer stamp set. This set is really fabulous, full of cute images and amazing sentiments, and I was really excited to finally have the chance to use it!
As a first step I stamped all my images on Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and I colored them with my Copic and Spectrum Noir Markers. I then die cut them with the coordinating dies.
For the various elements of my scene I cut some Bristol Smooth cardstock with the Card Front Element Builder dies and the TreeScape dies. I then did some soft ink blending with Distress Oxides and my Distress Blending Brushes.
For the river I used Boken China Distress Oxide, for the hill and the trees I used Peeled Paint, and for the sky I used Seedless Preserves, Fired Brick and Wild Honey. While the inks were still wet, I added some Perfect Pearls in Perfect Copper to the sky, for some subltle shimmer.
I stamped the sentiment, added a few Nuvo Drops in White Blizzard, and adhered everything to a top-folding A2 card base.
And that’s my card for today! I really hope you like it, and I hope I inspired you to create with the adorable Indian Summer stamp set! Thank you all so much for stopping by, and have a great day!
