Hello! How are you today? Sometimes you have an idea and try to make it
work, and it never quite sees the light of day! Today was different, thankfully, I had an idea of using the bees from Hey Honey to create a message in the wake of their flight path! I knew that carefully bending the stamps would give enough curve to make a curvy line beneath the bees.
I chose the most suitable sentiments from the Everyday Sentiments set and gently curved it onto my acrylic block. Good quality stamps like SugarPea Designs produce will do this, but cheap acrylic ones won’t.
Then get stamping! Turn the stamps around and if you need to go over a previous stamped line, simply add a little masking paper and stamp over the line. I picked two sentiments so there was a little variation.
I wound the sentiments down to the bottom so I had space to put the bear from Hey Honey. I coloured the bear with alcohol markers and then added details with Prismacolor pencils and white gel pens. I wasn’t very careful stamping, so was a bit heavyhanded with one of the sentiments. I had already planned to add some ‘pollen’ with craft drops which came in handy for helping disguise it!
To finish the card off, I trimmed some grass into a piece of green cardstock and mounted it on a turquoise blank. I hope you find time to look at your supplies creatively and do something different with them. Thanks for being with me today!
