Celebrate All the Things Video

Hey guys!

Stephanie back with you for the first time in 2018 and I’m so pumped to be sharing my first video of the year!
As you know, we are super active on our Facebook and Instagram pages and we asked you all to let us know what you would like to see from our designers in the upcoming year. Many of you mentioned simple projects with clear instructions, Christmas all-year-round, techniques, etc. And we listened to you!

SO, I tried something different and went ahead doing a video with some voice over. Now, do keep in mind that English is NOT my first language, lol! And for this one, I didn’t speed things up, to give you enough time to watch and see the cardmaking process in real time. As you can see, I changed my mind a lot and even struggled with not having specific measurements, ah! Like it? Let us know!

Since the Holidays are already behind us, I thought it could be fun to go ahead and create a super versatile and simple card using our latest Mix It Up sketch! I first started with a pre-scored white cardbase (really handy!) of 4¼”x5½”, onto which I placed different strips of patterned paper from the Spots & Stripes Brights Patterned Paper Collection. I really wanted the SugarCut – Celebrate to pop, so I die-cut it from the same navy cardstock that I used to mat my striped piece of paper. And just how cute are those pennants from the Celebrate All The Things stamp set? They were the perfect touch to complete my project, with a few dots here and there.

Want to see it on video? You can either watch it below or through our Youtube channel!

I hope you liked that kind of project and I promise I’ll be back soon to share more videos! Until then, make sure to follow us on Facebook!

Thank you for this great video and the beautiful card !

I really appreciate the voice-over in the video because being a beginner in card making, I’m very interested in all the little tips I can find. While recording the commentary, the crafters very often make remarks “I’m doing this because it’s easier/better/etc than……”. Maybe these informations seems “logical” and of no value to most of the crafters but they are very precious for me. But of course, I appreciate EVERY video even with music, I always learn something and I’m very thankful for all the work which is done “behind the screen”.

Thanks! The card is lovely! As an experienced card maker, I appreciate the video. I watch a lot of them as part of my overall enjoyment of crafting. Depending on where we are in this journey, we may need more or less! For the newer people, details are everything. Keep on going! I adore Sugar Pea products!
