Hi all. Vera here. Yesterday, I just experienced one of the coldest day in my life! Coming from a tropical country & living in Houston, Texas, I am definitely a wimp when it comes to cold weather. 13°F is way too cold for me.
So, to compensate for the cold and as I am dreaming of springy weather, I am creating what I consider a sunny, cheerful card.
To start, I created a watercolor background using Distress Oxide inks. Let dry and then die cut with the scallop frame from Card Front Element Builder set. Then I stamped and heat embossed Floral Envie on the panel. This time, I colored the image using Karin markers. I love how brilliant their colors are. Once the watercolor dry, I adhere the panel to card base.
At first, I was going to use foil cardstock for the sentiment, but then I worried it might make the whole card too busy. I mean after all this card is pretty bright. So, I decided to use tone on tone watercolor for the sentiment made out of the brand new SugarCut-Hello Block Word. I think it works better.
I have to say that yellow is a pretty strong color, but I love the cheerfulness it conveys. And, this card is just perfect to brighten the cold day, don’t you agree? Well, I sure hope it brighten your day. That’s all for me today and I wish you a day as cheerful as this card makes me feel. Have a blessed day all.

Feeling sorry for you Texans – stay warm, and safe!
Your beautiful Springtime card warmed my heart…
