Hello and welcome!
Tatiana is here with you and I’m super excited to be featured on SugarPea Designs blog. Today I’m sharing a sweet and bright summer card with a bit of shimmer and shine!
I’m playing with the amazing Wave stencil which is perfect for cool summer backgrounds and the oh so adorable Hey Summer stamp set. Today I’m stretching my craft supplies with my customized colorful glittery embossing paste! Curious?! So, please watch the video below! If you’re unable to see the video for any reason, click HERE.
I masked the card edges with a Post-It Removable Label Tape and inked Simon Hurley’s Clear Skies Dye ink through Wave stencil. Next I mixed Translucent Embossing Paste from Dreamweaver with some clear glitter and applied it to the top of the blue undertone. I ended up to have a customized and shimmery embossed background perfect for summer time!
While the background was drying, I die cut some shapes from Strathmore Bristol Paper using the Hey Summer SugarCut and stamped the coordinating images fromthe Hey Summer stamp set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. Next I colored all the stamped elements with Tombow markers.
In case you’re wondering, here’s the complete list of all the colors used: TOMBOW n.055, n.062, n.133, n.173, n.195, n.443, n.476, n.725, n.606, n.676, n.752, n.856, n.933, n.985, n.990, n.993.
Finally I heat embossed the sentiment from the same Hey Summer stamp set with a fine white embossing powder on a piece of a black cardstock and popped all the elements on a foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest.
That’s all for today! Hope you like this sweet card. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!!
