Hi everyone! It’s Laura here for another YouTube feature here on the SugarPea Designs blog. Today I am sharing an elegant Easter card made with die cuts only and a video showing how to create it!
For the front panel I die cut some Bristol Smooth Cardstock by Strathmore with the Card Front Element Builder dies. I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides in Rusty Hinge, Wild Honey and Scattered Straw and then I added some shimmer by brushing Perfect Pearls in Perfect Copper over the panel. I also added some droplets with the same Distress Oxides and the Perfect Pearls diluted with water.
Once the panel was dry I used the Egg Cut-Away Dies to die cut a window out of its center.
For the window background I used again Distress Oxides on Bristol Smooth Cardstock. This time I used Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac and Dusty Concord. I added droplets to the background with those same Distress Oxides and Perfect Pearls in the color Perfect Pearl.
I die cut five bunnies out of Bristol Smooth Cardstock with the second die in the Egg Cut-Away Window Dies and added some shading to the Die cuts with Distress Oxides in Pumice Stone and Black Soot.
I used the Easter Word die to die cut some black cardstock as well as some more Bristol Smooth cardstock, over which I had blended Distress Oxides in Forest Moss, Bundled Sage and Shabby Shutters. I adhered the two die cuts to each other, shifting them slightly to create a drop shadow effect.
I embossed the word wishes from the Easter Wishes stamp set with white embossing powder over black cardstock and die cut a banner around it with one of the dies in the Enjoy Tags set.
I decorated the inside of the card (you can see how in the video below) and added some finishing touches to the card front with Nuvo Drops in Bottle Green.
As I mentioned, I filmed an uploaded a video tutorial showing how to create this elegant Easter card with products from the new SugarPea Designs release. Don’t forget to subscribe to the SugarPea Designs YouTube channel for more inspiration!
And that’s it for today! I really hope you liked the card and enjoyed the video and I hope I inspired you to create with products from the February 2019 release!
Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!
Laura
