The SugarPea Designs Creative Team and I are so excited to share a few of the projects that we’ve created with our NEW Fall Product Release. And all of the products that we will be introducing this week will be available for purchase starting this Friday, August 28th at 2PM EST in the SPD Store.

OPEN BOOK
Our SugarCut – Open Book die set is a real page turner! If you are passionate about books you’ll need to add this gorgeous stand alone die set to your collection. When assembled this die creates an open book design with a cover and 3 layering pages. Add the included floral dies, bookmark or glasses to complete the look. This novel idea of a die is sure to delight all the book lovers in your life.
BEAUTIFUL BOOKS
Beautiful Books is a classic every day stamp set any book lover will enjoy. Perfect for all card styles from quick and simple to lush and layered. This set features both open and closed books, florals, a pair of eye glasses, and a variety of beautiful sentiments you can use on cards, bookmarks, in your planners and more!
Books and stamping have been life-long passions of mine and today those two meet in the most perfect way.
I started by choosing a fall color palette of cardstock and began cutting all of the SugarCut – Open Book pieces. I cut my scalloped card panel using the SugarCut – Card Front Element Builder and stamped the Handwritten Letter as a background onto Kraft cardstock using VersaMark Embossing Ink. Before assembling all of the book pages, I stamped a sentiment from Beautiful Books on the top page of the book . The pages were assembled by lining up and glueing all of pages together only along their center score lines. Next, I gently bent the layers by flipping the pages with my thumb and then added stripes of foam tape between each page to create dimension. The assembled pages were then glued to the book cover.
After adding all of the floral design elements in SugarCut – Open Book to the book, my favorite part was adding the eyeglasses with vellum lenses and creating the tassel for the bookmark with a few strands of DMC Floss. The bookmark is such a cute detail that really makes this die so spectacular .
Last but not least, I stamped a few floral images and sentiment from Beautiful Books onto a Grocery Sack Envelope before lining it with Cream Cardstock stamped with Handwritten Letter and cut with the SugarCut – Envelope Liner. I can never pass up the chance to create a matching envelope!
