Hi there! Kerin here with you today sharing two Christmas cards I recently made. It’s hard to believe, but Christmas will be here before we know it! Now that the days are a bit cooler, it makes it easier to think about the holidays right? I don’t know about you, but I love making holiday cards, and what a great feeling to get to busy December and find that you’ve already got a good supply of cards on hand!
Around the holidays it’s great to have a few staple card designs, that you can whip up multiples of in very little time. Well today I’ve got two cards like that for you using the Flurry of Warm Wishes set.
For the first card that I created, I began by embossing snowflakes randomly with Versamark, my heat tool, and sparkly embossing powder. Next I sponged on Distress inks in Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire. Finally I added the “Happy Holidays” sentiment from the Pinecone Greetings set, then topped it off with a few sequins for a little extra bling.
Here’s the second card I created:
For this card I began by embossing one large snowflake from the Flurry of Warm Wishes set onto white card stock, then I made a border around the embossed snowflake with Post-It Notes to mask off the area I would be applying ink to. Once I applied the distress ink it looked like this:
Then I simply pulled away the Post-It Notes and layered white and navy blue card stock to create my finished card! So easy!!
