Hi SugarPeeps!
We’re so thrilled to welcome a new guest here on the SugarPea Designs blog…
AUDREY TOKACH!
Here’s what she has to tell about herself:
My name is Audrey Tokach. I am a 30-something, happily married wife, and mom to two amazing boys. I am an animal lover and coffee addict. I am an artsy girly-girl who loves makeup and nail polish and anything pink! When I am not busy taking care of my boys, or my little animal menagerie (which includes a Cocker Spaniel, 3 cats and 2 lizards!!), you can find me making cards or coloring. I have a fun, whimsical style, and I love bright colors and cutesy images. I can’t live without my Copic markers or my watercolors, but I love experimenting with other coloring mediums as well. I’d love for you to stop by my blog, Pink Ink Originals, and have a look around! So excited to be guest designing for SugarPea Designs, and I can’t wait to share my creations with you! 🙂
And her very first creation for us!
To create my card, I started off by watercoloring a background to create the sky for my scene. I used Blueprint Sketch, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and a bit of Hickory Smoke Distress inks to add color to the top left corner of a piece of watercolor paper. I added each color randomly, drying in between layers, to build up the color intensity.
When that was dry, I splattered on some watered down white acrylic paint and gold watercolor to add stars to my sky. Then, I stamped the adorable image from the Over the Moon stamp set in black ink and colored it with my Copic Markers. I fussy cut him out, and popped him up with foam tape in the center of my watercolored sky. Then, I used the star trio from the Hocus Pocus SugarCuts dies to add bigger stars, cut from white cardstock. I adhered them randomly with a glue pen. I stamped a sentiment from the Over the Moon stamp set in black ink onto a strip of white cardstock, and popped it up underneath the moon.
I cut a white card base just slightly bigger than my panel, and added a strip of striped paper from the Spots & Stripes Brights Patterned Paper Collection along the left side of the card base before popping the panel up with foam tape. To finish things off, I added some white gel pen accents to the sun and moon.
Wow! We cannot wait to see her next creation!
