Melissa back again to share a creation I made with the GORGEOUS Mandala stamp from SugarPea Designs. I have been so inspired by the fabulous creations from design team members and guests that I had to pick one up for myself and I was not disappointed. This image stamps so clean and beautiful like all of the SugarPea Stamps, but with it’s intricate designs I was concerned. I had no reason to be, because it stamps perfectly.
First I took a number of Memento inks and Fireworks Sprays, added water to them and “smooshed” them to watercolor paper. I also took white acrylic paint and mixed with water to splatter onto the paper. Once dry, I stamped the image with VersaMark and heat embossed in silver.
I then took a black Aquarellable pencil and traced some of the edges of the Mandala. I took a water brush and smeared the black pencil I drew on. This made certain parts of the image really pop!
Last, I added the sentiment from the Celebrate All Things stamp set to vellum in Versafine Clair and heat embossed with clear powder. I adhered the vellum with glue under the sentiment, then added a few silver and blue sequins to finish.
