Hello again, it’s Nicole. I’m happy to be guest designing on this blog again with a new project for you.
Sometimes, I just want to color my heart out and don’t want to think about a card layout. That’s one reason why it was love at first sight with this super cute What’s Mew? stamp set. It is so large that it almost fills up your entire card. It’s such a pretty focal point that doesn’t need much more to add (in my personal opinion).
I stamped the image in black water resistant ink on some watercolor paper. Because I wanted the tree branch to go all the way to the edge of my card, I extended the branch with a black water resistant marker. And now comes my favorite part of the card, coloring with watercolors. It’s just so relaxing and I simply love to do this.
After coloring my stamped image, the window felt a bit lost on the card, so I went in with a flat brush and hand drew a brick wall. It’s actually easier than it looks. The right sized flat brush does most of the job for you. 🙂 For my sentiment, I went for a small one from the same What’s Mew? set.
I hope you got inspired to extend a stamped image or hand draw a part on your card.
Thanks a lot for stopping by!
See you next Monday!
Nicole
