Guest Designer ~ Nicole Vögeli

Hi there, Nicole here with a new card inspiration for you.

When I saw the Spots & Stripes Pastels Patterned Paper Collection pad I totally wanted to use it for future projects. I love pastel colors, polka dots and pretty papers and I think it’s fabulous that these come precut.

I created my background by die cutting one piece from vellum and one from yellow striped patterned paper from Spots & Stripes Pastels Patterned Paper Collection using the Sugar Cut Birthday Journal Card die set. I glued the yellow piece to the vellum and adhered them to the blue dotted paper using foam tape.

My focal point is this super cute little monkey. He’s from the Chunky Monkey stamp set that comes with fun sentiments like the one I used. I stamped the monkey on alcohol marker friendly paper and colored him with Spectrum Noir markers. The stamp set comes with coordinating dies but I don’t have them, so I fussy cut him out. I adhered the monkey to the background using foam tape and stamped the greeting in black ink. Three clear sparkly sequins finish up my card.

I hope you got inspired to use your patterned paper.

Thanks a lot for stopping by!

Have a wonderful day,

Nicole
