Forget Your Troubles, Come On Get Happy!
Rainbow clouds, a vellum balloon, silver embossing, and scalloped stitched edges – now that makes me happy today!
Did you notice the faint scripty writing in the clouds? I first used the Handwritten Letter background stamp on the panel with VersaMark ink. Then, as I blended the clouds with the Outdoor Scene Builder stencil, the Distress ink picked up on the handwritten words, leaving a subtle textured detail. Then I cut the panel using the scallop border die from the Card Front Element Builder SugarCut set.
The Happy Word was cut out of a brushed silver paper, and the shadow was cut out of vellum. The balloon from the Later Gator stamp set was stamped on vellum, silver heat embossed, and cut out using the Later Gator SugarCut. The end of the sentiment is from the Happy Thoughts stamp set, and was also heat embossed in silver.

June 11, 2020 at 3:40 pmKara, I am really enjoying today’s card. I am usually not one for pastel, rainbow style cards, but there is just something so refreshing about this one. I have even made a few notes of the methods and materials you used, and may try to replicate it using supplies I have in my stash. Thank you for the inspiration. I am also fascinated by the background stamp use and the way the DI’s highlighted it, yet kept it soft.
