Hi everyone! It’s Laura here, and today I am back with a Halloween themed birthday card! Yeah, that’s right. 🙂 I love Halloween stamps but where I live we don’t really celebrate it…so I though I would use the SugarPea Designs Monster Mash stamp set and create a frightfully cute birthday card! I bet there is plenty of litte boys that would love to receive it!
Make sure to check out the video tutorial at the end of this post to see the entire card making process!
The sets that I used today are the Monster Mash, the Bewitched and the Balloon Numbers stamp sets. I stamped the images with Spectrum Noir black alcohol proof ink and colored them with my Illustrator markers. I added some Jack O’Lantern faces to the balloons, so that they would match the Halloween thee. Once I was done with the coloring, I die cut them all with the coordinating dies.
The sky background was created with Nuvo Shimmer Powders on a sheet of watercolor card that I had previously die cut with the Card Front Element Builder Dies. I used Storm Cloud, Lilac Waterfall and Violet Brocade. I then darkened up the panel with my Distress Ink in Black Soot and added some stars with my silver Gansai Tambi watercolor.
For the hills I die cut some black cardstock using first the rectangle die in the Card Front Element Builder set and then with the TreeScape and SpookyScape dies. I blended some white pigment ink on the top portions of the die cuts to give them some dimension. I also die cut some bats out of black cardstock with the SpookyScape dies.
I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder, glued everything to a top-folding A2 card base and added some details with a white gel pen.

Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!
