Hi everyone! Simonne here to share with you a couple of cards I made using some stamp sets from our June release.
For my first card, I started by inking the top of a 4.25×5.5″ piece of white cardstock with Tumbled Glass distress ink then placed it in my MISTI. I then trimmed and tore a piece of kraft cardstock to resemble the ‘sand’, laid it at the bottom of the card and positioned my stamps from the Let’s Flamingle stamp set Once the MISTI had picked up my stamps, I took away the “sand” and stamped the palm trees and the bodies of the flamingoes using pigment inks, masking the leaf canopy of the left tree and adding some shading before stamping with different tones of inks. Once the trees and flamingo bodies were stamped, I then positioned the legs and picked them up with the MISTI. I stamped them first without the “sand” and then fixed the “sand” to the card and stamped again Finally, a sentiment from Tropic Like It’s Hot stamp set and a few sparkling clear sequins and it was done!
My second card is a lot more simple and features the flamingoes and sentiment from the Let’s Flamingle stamp set stamped onto a white panel cut using the largest Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles die. As you can see, when you stamp the 2 flamingoes together like this, their necks create a heart!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
