Hi folks! Kavya here with you!
This is my first blog post for SugarPea Designs and I am super excited to join this wonder team of creative cardmakers! For those of you who aren’t familiar with my work, I love stretching my supplies and using vibrant colors… I don’t have a distinct style and I love experimenting with new techniques! I hope my work inspires you to find new ways to use your supplies too!
My card uses the previously released ‘Hey Summer’ stamp set to create a fun beach scene with an adorable bear ready to surf. I first started off by ink blending an A2 cardstock using blue and yellow dye inks to create a muted sunset. I then used the wave edger dies with blue and linen colored cardstock from ‘Card Front Element Builder’ die set to create the beach and sand. To make the water and land more realistic, I ink blended the edges with matching dye ink and splattered some white paint and added details using white gel pen!
FUN TIP: By flipping one of the die cut edgers, I was able to create water waves! Gotta love versatile products!
I then stamped a bunch of images from ‘Hey Summer’ and colored them using copics and colored pencils. I used some of the smaller floral stamps to accessorize the bear’s shorts. Finally, I cut the inner portion of the scalloped frame die from the ‘Card Front Element Builder’ die using my Misti Cut Align ruler to create a cute border.

That’s it! Wasn’t that simple? I hope you liked this card!
Happy Crafting!
