Hi everyone! It’s Laura here, and today I am back wit a fun card I created with the Over the Moon and the To Infinity and Beyond stamp sets.
As a first step I started working on my background and I created a galaxy background with Gansai Tambi watercolors. I went for a pink and purple color combination for my galaxies – make sure to watch the video below to see how you can make it too!
Once the galaxy background was ready I added some stars with Tonic Studios Mica Mist in Antique Gold and with the white paint in my Gansai Tambi watercolor palette. I set the panel aside to dry and started working on my images.
For today’s card I used Over the Moon and the To Infinity and Beyond stamp sets . I stamped them with Black Hybrid Ink on Bristol Smooth Cardstock by Strathmore and did some coloring with
Zig Clean Color Real brush markers. I then die cut the images from the To Infinity and Beyond stamp set with the coordinating dies. Because the the Over the Moon stamp set does not came with matching dies, I fussy cut the image with my scissors.
I then started working on my card base. I die cut some black cardstock to a standard A2 size with the Card Front Element Builder Dies, and my galaxy background with the largest die in the Postage Stamp dies. I layered the two panels and moved on to the sentiment, that I heat embossed with white embossing powder on some black cardstock. I then used one of the dies in the Stitched Flags set to create a banner, and started assembling the card.
I raised the image from the Over the Moon stamp set and the sentiment banner over two layers of foam tape, the planets over one layer of foam tape, and the stars flush to the background.
I finished off my card by decorating the inside with some stars, that I stamped with Distress Oxide in Mustard Seed.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, there is a video tutorial for you, showing how you can create your own space themed card with the SugarPea Designs Over the Moon and To Infinity and Beyond stamp sets. You can watch it down below or directly on the SugarPea Designs YouTube channel! Click HERE if you’re unable to view the video.
And that’s it for today! I really hope you liked the card and enjoyed the video! Thank you all so much for stopping by and have a great day!
