SPD Raincheck - by Wendy Ramlakhan

I created a simple and quick card that also has lots of fun dimension and details!  I started by selecting the cloud paper from our Whatever The Weather Pattern Paper Collection and then used the clouds from the coordinating SugarCuts die set to cut 3 different sized clouds from the paper.  **Yes, the clouds in the die are the exact size as the clouds in the paper pad!!  How fun is that?!?!**

SPD Rain Check detail

I cut the same clouds again but this time with SugarPuff foam, adhered them together and then laid the clouds back into the paper where they were cut from.  I just love the fun dimension this created!!  Using the polka dotted umbrella image from the Whatever the Weather stamp set, I did a little tone on tone stamping and then popped the center of the umbrella up with SugarPuff foam as well.  This time I used a Copic marker to color the edges of the SugarPuff to match the orange of the ink and cardstock. I heat embossed the sentiment in white and added a few sequins (Atmosphere) to finish things off.

What a cute collection! I LIKE to spend a rainy afternoon in bed with a good book and some hot cocoa. I don’t usually GET to do that, however, due to work. So, for example, today was a rainy day. What did I do? I graded homework and prepped for this week’s classes. So much for doing what I LIKE to do. 🙂

OMGosh! SOOOOO excited about this release…the Whatever the Weather stamp set and SugarCuts are sensational!!!! And I LOVE the coordinating patterned paper!
As a long-time migraine suffer, I have to say a rainy day is not rainbows, puffy clouds and pretty umbrellas for me…rain is my nemesis! If I’m not sequestered to my bed to suffer in the dark on a rainy day, then I love to curl up with a good book, maybe retreat to my caftroom and make a card or just hang out on the couch and watch a movie.

I have been waiting (somewhat impatiently) for the release dates! So excite Do! I love the perfect spring stamp set and all the coordinating products. Such pretty examples!

My body does not deal well with weather changes or the cold so I tend to spend lots of time reading and stamping. But for me that’s no different then any other day.

I was really excited to see the Weather and more collection and it is beyond amazing. Totally love the coordinating, colorful PP, stamps and dies. And DT’s executed them in their creations soooooo beautifully!!!

I love rains and the earthly scents (Petrichor). Rains are beautiful, one of the best seasons out of the four to me( amazing and romantic)in India. I always sit on my veranda and enjoy my snacks with a cup of tea. I enjoy the sounds of rain water gushing through the drains on streets, the water dropping on the plastic roof it’s a pleasant music in itself.

This is a sweet set! Whenever possible, I paper craft on rainy days, of course! However, it there are only a few drops coming down and it’s warm outside, I might be working in the garden. Some people don’t realized that rain makes garden chores easier! But, let’s face it… when it’s nasty outside, most of us would rather be indoors. So off to the craft room I go. I really like the new products. My favorite rainy day includes the following: curling up on the couch with my warmest blanket, a new mystery from the library, and a Hobbit movie playing in the background. Of course, all of this sets the scene for an extended nap.

The most fun we’ve ever had was on a rainy day when my husband and I played and danced in the rain with our not yet walking son laughing and giggling the whole time. That was some time ago and our children are grown but in the summer you might yet catch me dancing in the rain. By the way I really like the style of your sun die.

Day 1 and I’m already blown away with your new products and outstanding DT showcases! Fantastic stamps, dies and papers; perfect for making card sets! Rainy afternoons see me either crafting or nestled on the couch, under my fluffy blanket, reading a good mystery. My latest discovery: Ausma Khan…brilliant author! If the rain isn’t pelting down, my umbrella and I go for a walk to see the mists that settle on the mountains. Thank you for the giveaway opportunities!

If I’m home alone and its raining, I love to put on a horror movie and makes some cards. If the kids are home from school or its the weekend, its wonderful to watch a movies with them and make some popcorn or play some board games.
