Hello SugarPeeps! I am so excited to share something a little different with you today, so grab your favorite drink and join me for a bit.
If this is your first visit here at SugarPea Designs, WELCOME!! I love new friends and would love it if you would follow me on FaceBook, Bloglovin’ or Pinterest.
I was so honored when Chaitali approached me about doing an upcoming episode of Iron Craft Season 2! I thought it sounded like so much fun! If you aren’t familiar with Iron Craft, each episode features Chaitali crafting side by side with another stamper (this time, it’s me!) using the same ingredients, just like they do on Iron Chef.
If you’d like, you can view our interview here on the Iron Craft Blog (be kind, it’s my first interview)
We both used one of my favorite SugarPea Designs stamps sets, Hug-A-Bull.
Although I would define my stamp style as Clean and Layered, I always strive to add a touch of texture into my designs. “Flat” bores me and if I add anything to my cards that would make you want to reach out and touch it…then THAT makes it something FUN!! So I decided to go full throttle on the texture and colored my image using Copics onto canvas!
I also added texture by using an embossing folder on the designer paper from My Mind’s Eye as well as adding some corrugated kraft paper and stamped my sentiment on vellum cut with a fishtail die. It’s a tactile lovers dream!! lol
Be sure to head over to Chaitali’s Blog to see the full Iron Craft segment and her card using the Hug-A-Bull stamp set. I’ve seen it and it’s Ador-A-BULL!! 🙂
Would you like a prize?!? Of course you do!!
Leave a comment on this post and I will randomly draw a winner to receive a $15 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs online shoppe! Also stop over to visit Chaitali and you could enter to win a second $15 SugarPea Designs gift certificate.
You can find the Hug-A-Bull stamp set along with the entire line of SugarPea Designs stamps HERE.

May 4, 2014 at 9:49 amBack when beanie babies were popular the one that first caught my heart was a little red bull – ever since then whimsical bulls, which you don’t see very often, have had a special place in my heart, and I adore your set Wendy! The first time I tried to color with Copics on fabric the cloth sucked up the ink so quickly and it bled everywhere, WAY outside the outline of the image – I haven’t tried it again since, but your lovely project is tempting me…

May 5, 2014 at 1:31 pmWendy, I love a sense of humor and often create a card from just a pun =] I’ve just started joining some challenges and especially loved the Joke Cue over at CASology. It took moments to decide just what card I’d make from a favorite joke from my 6 year old grand-daughter. See if you can get the answer to:
What did the zero say to the eight?
Loved your interview, and the fact that both of our tables are ruined because of markers =[, =]
