Hi, my name is Angel Rivera and I’m SO excited to be guest designing for SugarPea Designs this month! I’ve been crafting for what seems like forever, but have been a card maker since 2005. With a house full of boys – my sons, ages 19, 15 and 12, plus two boy dogs and a hubby of almost 22 years – crafting keeps me sane!

Let’s take a look at a gorgeous card that she created for us today and see how she went about designing it.
For my card, I used some newly released SugarPea Designs goodies! First, I embossed the cool garland image from the Bring On the Cake stamp set with gold embossing powder. I then cut it out with an element from the SugarCut – Birthday Journal Card dies and layered it over gold foil paper that was also cut with a different element from the same dies. I used the SugarCut – Celebrate die to cut out the word three times (two from white card stock, one from black card stock), then layered them. I added some squiggles from the SugarCut – Birthday Card Journal dies for extra fun. I love how all of these sets and SugarCuts work so well with each other!
