Hi, Lisa here with my Light Bulb Moment Post today.
I’m sharing a card I made in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day. I had fun mixing sets and a die to make this card that can be used for many occasions not just Saint Patrick’s Day.
Step By Step Instructions
1. First I made masks of the shamrock images from A Bushel & A Peck then I stamped the bottom border with shamrocks masking them as I went along.
2. I left all the masks on the shamrock images and taped just the bottom of them to my work surface using painters tape. Then I sponged my background using the new Distress Oxide Broken China Ink (love how this blends).
3. I stamped the goat using Totes Ma Goats on a scrap piece of white cardstock, cut him out and colored him up. I cut the can that is in his mouth off and then adhered one shamrock I cut out and cut a slit to fit it on his mouth. Then I popped him up on the card front.
4. Lastly, I cut out a the coversation rectangle using SugarCut – Chatterbox Journal Card, cutting off the excess. Then heat embossed the sentiment from A Bushel & A Peck arranging them at opposite angles to continue the whimsical look.

March 18, 2017 at 9:49 pmWhat a great card! ! I’m ordering this adorable goat set! Do you have dies for it?
Lisa Lara
March 18, 2017 at 11:30 pmThank you Linda. Unfortunately there aren’t coordinating SugarCut dies for the Totes Ma Goats stamp set since it was created before SPD came out with matching dies.

March 22, 2017 at 4:52 pmHaha! What a great way to use two different sets. I thought he was part of an Irish theme – wouldn’t have known he initially had a can in his mouth. Fab idea!

March 24, 2017 at 3:43 amLove your card, Lisa. I especially like how there is darker ink concentration immediately around the goat.
