Hi, Lisa here today with my Light Bulb Moment for this week.
I was inspired by THIS card made by Laura Bassen.
I took an oldie but a goodie and paired it with a newbie and her’s one for dear old Dad.
(Just in time for Father’s Day).
Step By Step Instructions
1. I took an A2 (4 1/4 x 5 1/2) piece of white cardstock and die cut the triceratops.
2. I I placed the die-cut panel on top of my card base and placed in the center of my Original MISTI. I tape the edges down then stamped the triceratops image inside the negatives.
3. I colored the images using Copics C00, C0 and C1. I colored the entire image with C00, added my shading with C1, then blended with C0 followed by C00. It went fast this way.
4. I used foam tape for the back of my front panel then adhered to my card base.
5. I die-cut “DAD” using SugarCut – Dad Words from a gray card stock. Then used Prehistoric Pals and heat embossed my sentiment with white embossing powder on green cardstock and adhered to my card front. Then I added the “DAD”. (I did add a little foam tape to the “Dad” and my sentiment strip where it was over the stamped area for full coverage).
