Good morning! Ardyth here with this week’s Light Bulb Moment!
Here’s a simple way to add shine and dimension to your stamped images. I started with this coffee-bean heart and stamped it with dark brown ink, using a MISTI. I then cleaned my stamp and restamped it with Versamark ink, before sprinkling clear embossig powder over top and heating it until it was melted and shiny.
Then I put the panel back into my MISTI and stamped again with Versamark (it lined up perfectly because I hadn’t moved the stamp on the door of the MISTI). I added another layer of embossing powder and heated again. I did this 4 times in total. (On a previous attempt, I tried 5 layers, but started losing definition of the coffee beans).
Here’s a close up –
To finish the card, I cut my kraft panel with one of the Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle dies, to resemble a coffee sleeve on my white card base. Because the rectangle die was longer than the width of the card, it gives borders of Zig Zags at the top and bottom of the panel.
