Good morning! Ardyth here with this week’s Light Bulb Moment!
It’s Mother’s Day on Sunday. Don’t panic – unless like me, you have a Mother-in-Law who lives in the UK! Their Mother’s Day is on a different date than ours and it moves like Easter so I can’t even memorize it! My husband and I have been married for almost 21 years and still, every single year, it catches me by surprise!
No need to worry though; this beautiful new Pretty Peonies set and last year’s Flowers for Mom (hurry! It’s on sale!) combine perfectly to make a quick and easy floral card.
I started with watercolour cardstock and drew a circle on my panel with a pencil to guide my flower placement. I used my MISTI to allow me to ink up the buds with watercolour markers by colouring directly on the stamp before spritzing with water.
This technique gives a watercolour look and makes each flower unique. I kept the stems on the inside of the drawn circle, and didn’t worry about trying to keep it neat – I planned to cover that portion of the card up with my sentiment.

Thank you for sharing this with us crafters. :O)
