Hello friends! It’s Kelly here today sharing a fun Valentine’s Day project with you! I created a few Hot Cocoa packets with a Valentine’s Day spin! I just love it when my stamps give me more bang for my buck! I used one of my favorite stamp sets: Mugs and Kisses and the coordinating Mugs and Kisses SugarCuts. These products got a work out during the Holidays, but with a sentiment like “Mugs and Kisses” it’s PERFECT for this time of year, too!
The tags were so fun to make! I used the Christmas Tag Greetings Stamp set and the coordinating Snowflake Tag SugarCut for the base and then got to work with the darling mug images. I couldn’t resist coloring the whipped cream pink and adding some liquid applique for some realistic foam detail!
To create the packet, I simply cut a 8 1/2 by 11 piece of cardstock in half lengthwise, measured the cocoa packet and scored it there. The flap uses an assortment of prints from the Sugar and Spice Paper Pad . I was able to get three pieces from one sheet, so the flap is the size of 1/3 of a sheet of paper. I also couldn’t resist adding a little bit more detail with the Stitched Border I Sugar Cut. I also included a gift card from a local sweet shoppe in the white envelope stamped with another PERFECT Valentine’s Day sentiment! It’s all tied up with ribbon and the tags!
Thanks for joining me today and I hope that I have given you a fun project you can create for your Valentine!
