I missed a friends birthday recently, and I couldn’t resist sending a my belated wishes using the adorable mummy from the Monster Mash stamp set. Plus, that sentiment was spot on!

Lately, I find myself drawn more and more to very Clean And Simple (CAS) card designs. I really love the freedom that all of the white space gives when creating. So I started by creating a simple stitched panel using the largest die in the SugarCut – Card Front Element Builder III. I

I created a straight edge using a large Post-It Note, then brushed Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot and Antique Linen Distress Inks to create a background. Next, I colored the mummy image from Monster Mash using Copic Markers and cut it using the coordinating SugarCut – Monster Mash die.

I wanted to add just a little pizzazz to the background so I stamped a few stars from the Sweet Sentiments – You stamp set onto the inked background and heat embossed them in white.

The Monster Mash mummy image was popped up with foam tape to create depth and dimension and the adorable belated birthday sentiment was stamped underneath.
