Hi peeps! How’s it going? Vera here to bring you some SugarPea inspiration for the last day of May. I know, it’s the end of May already. Can you believe it?
Well, I played with the Otterly Adorable set (along with its coordinating dies) and made this card with what I call my happy colors. Hah!
To start, I dropped some alcohol inks to a piece of Yupo paper. I only started playing with alcohol ink this past year. I know, I am behind. I don’t like to just follow trends just because it is a trend. I have to be in the right mood & really feel something about it that makes me want to try it. Anyway, I tried it & I do like it. 🙂
Once I was happy with the colors, I die cut the piece using SugarCut Stitched Flags. I lined up the top of the flag with a strip of patterned paper from Spots & Stripes Bright Patterned Paper collection and adhere it to the card base. Then I stamped & colored the otter with Copics and adhered it to the card with pop-dots.
For the sentiment I used the SugarCut Thanks and die cut the word from a piece of gold glittered paper. I think the gold helped make the sentiment pop off against the colorful background. Then I finished with some diamond sequins.
I had lots of fun making this card & it makes me want to play with alcohol inks more. I hope you like today’s card! Thank you all so much for stopping by here & may your day be a fabulous one. Cheers….
