Today, I have a card to share with you that I created for the Card Concept challenge. I just love their challenges and have enjoyed my time as their guest this month.
Although I LOVE this weeks inspiration challenge photo, all I could see was purple. And purple is my crafting kryptonite. Seriously, I can’t do purple. As I sat down to create last week, I was also feeling so sad with the passing of Prince. I was listening to his music when inspiration struck…I should do a Purple Rain tribute card.
I have been a huge Prince fan for most of my life! I was 15 years old when a girlfriend and I attended his Purple Rain concert and sat 2nd row. Half way through the concert he pointed right at me and a huge man then came out of nowhere and grabbed me from my seat. I thought he was making me leave because I had been standing rather than sitting in my seat. LOL But then he yelled into my ear that Prince had chosen me to dance on stage with him. Something about the surprise and shock of it all caused me to not feel starstruck/nervous while I was on stage with him. I remember every detail, except what song was being played. LOL As I was taken off stage I was handed a purple rose which I still have in a memory box. It lasted all of maybe 5 minutes, but it is something that I will NEVER forget and it one of my most favorite memories that always makes my HEART happy! <3

LOL Great story and card. He will certainly be missed, but so glad we have his music and these memories to keep us going.
