I keep a little basket on my desk that I call my “Misfit Basket”. It holds an assortment of stamped images, die cuts, backgrounds, etc…things that just never made it onto the last project that I was working on. So whenever I sit down to create I will go through that basket to see if there is anything that I feel inspired to use.

I thought it would be fun if I challenged myself to only use elements from this basket to create this card.

I was instantly drawn to a simple panel that I had created a rainbow background with distress inks. I layered it behind a SugarCut – Birch Forest die cut from white cardstock. For my main greeting, I used the SugarCut – Thanks word die cut in white with a black cardstock shadow.

All that was left to do was to stamp a coordinating sentiment from the Grateful Greeting stamp set, glue everything into place and add a few Clear Nuvo Drops for interest.

I can’t wait to see the Just Because cards that you’ll be sending to someone special this month. xo

Pretty background colors and very pretty card! I also like the way the black solid makes the white Thanks pop on the white..
