Yesterday, I had the pleasure of taking a rare “day off” and spending the morning with a couple of girlfriends. After meeting up to enjoying some breakfast and coffee together – we went back to my house to do a little coloring! I’ve been promising to teach them the basics so they can join me in my Copic coloring obsession. WOW! Are they ever talented – I was blown away with how quickly they picked up on the techniques I shared with them and were able to easily duplicate what I showed them. And what fun is it to color an image if you don’t have a card to put it on? I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to create a QUICK yet fabulous CAS (Clean & Simple) card design.
The minute I saw this Washi tape, I knew had to have it to use with our AMAZING new stamp set, My Hero from our Bean Stalk Collection. I colored my little hero with Copics (see below for a list of markers used), popped him up with foam tape for dimension and added a few enamel dots. Hands down this is the fastest (a whopping two whole minutes) and most favorite card I have ever designed.
If you’d like to bring, My Hero home – you better be quick he’s been flying off the shelf faster than a speeding bullet and is almost sold out!
Here’s a close up at the coloring. I paper pieced his neck tie, used a scrap piece of denim to add texture to his jeans with Colorless Blender solution and added a touch of shimmer to his glasses with a clear Spica pen.
