My card features our recently released stamp set, Spare Me from our adorably sweet Bean Stalk Collection. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I ADORE this stamp set!! It has such an UBER cool 50’s retro feel with star bursts, diamonds, arrow heads and other fun shapes – not to mention, the puny sentiments that SugarPea Designs is known for. But this set holds a special place in my heart because …it was all my Dad’s idea!! Yep! That’s right. And wouldn’t ya know – being the hard headed daughter that I am I completely ignored him when he suggested it. LOL But the more thought about it, the more I realized that it would be SO unique and fun – that I had to do it!! After all, that is what SPD is all about!
My little bowler was stamped on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I then fussy cut him along with a few of the bowing pins from the set and popped them up with foam tape for dimension. The diamond background was created by stamping with kraft and jellybean dye ink pads using the solid diamond shape from the set onto ledger patterned paper from Echo Park, This & That Charming Collection. His bowling shirt was also paper pieced with the same designer paper.
Trust me, you will not regret making this fun set a part of your stamping collection!
Congrats to, Angel – You are the randomly selected winner of our SugarSketch006 Challenge. Please contact us at info@sugarpeablog.com to claim your prize.
Be sure to click through our designer’s blogs listed below for even more crafty inspiration using our SugarSketch and come back and link up your creation for a chance to win a Gift Certificate up to $15!

July 14, 2014 at 12:51 pmWhat a fun & fabulous release! Great inspiration from all the designers. I would have enjoyed doing the blog hop more if each designer linked to the next. It would have been easier to do, but I managed.
