You’re all in for a special treat today as we have the incredibly talented Anita Madden for our Sweet Talk feature.
I’m Feeling…
Blessed! I have an amazing and supportive husband, and my daughter and grandchildren live nearby so I get to see them often.
I’m Wishing…
that I were more organized. My craft room looks like a bomb has gone off. One of my goals for this summer is to get it cleaned and organized.
I’m Loving…
that we’re finally having some warm weather. We had a very cold winter and I’m looking forward to BBQs, swimming, and boating this summer.
I’m Creating…
cards for the design teams I’m on. I’m trying to work ahead on projects so that I’m not rushed for time when I get ready to leave for vacation.
I’m Reading…
I haven’t had time to read lately but I love murder mysteries.
I’m Watching…
I love Blacklist, Castle, and Big Bang Theory. I also like to watch HGTV’s Fixer Upper and House Hunters. Other than that, I don’t watch a lot of TV.
I thought I’d share my technique for making quick and easy clouds
I use a cloud template, ink, and a small color duster brush. The cloud templates I’m showing here are some that I’ve had forever and I don’t remember who the manufacturer was. They’re made of acetate and have small wooden knob handles. But you can use any shape with a scalloped edge for a template. As you can see, I diecut a cloud from some dark cardstock and I’m using that as my template today.
Tap into the ink and brush/swirl the excess ink onto a piece of scrap paper. You want the duster brush to be fairly dry when you stencil your clouds. If you have too much ink in the brush it will smear.
Apply the ink to your cardstock by swirling the brush along the top of your template.
Move and rotate your template to another area to create a new cloud. Apply more ink to your brush when it gets too dry.
Keep moving and rotating the template till you have as many clouds as you like.
Anita used the Tee-rific stamp set for her amazing cloud background. What a perfect masculine card design, don’t you agree?
