Today we have the ever so sweet, Brianna Loeffelbein for our Sweet Talk feature.
I’m Feeling:
Happy and Blessed to be the momma to Jayden and my newborn baby boy, Braxtyn who was born August 7th.
I’m Wishing:
That maybe one day, I will be able to be a stay at home momma and be with my babies all day, of course crafting all day would be a nice perk too.
I’m Loving:
Being a part of the Sugar Pea Design Team. I have only been a part of the design team for these past couple months and I’m LOVING every minute of it!!
I’m Creating:
I usually only make cards but dabble in home decor or fun 3D crafts from time to time. I also enjoy crocheting and am working on a sweet little baby blanket toy.
I’m Reading:
Mainly crafting magazines or craft relates blog post/articles. I am not much of a book person and last books I read have been to my three year old and night time.
I’m Watching:
Way to many shows! I just got done with the Netflix series, The Killing, it was amazing but they only did four seasons of it 🙁 I hope they will bring it back. Other shows I am watching include… Ramsey Kitchen Nightmares, Impractical Jokers, Married at First sight, Welcome to Myrtle Manor, Dancing with the Stars. Thank goodness for DVR because I would never be able to keep up with all of these without it. Majority of my T.V. watching is done late at night after peanut is in bed, fast asleep. I am most looking forward to Pretty Little Liars and American Horror Story coming back, these are my top two shows I just can’t miss!!
For my project, I want to show you how I make fun backgrounds using smaller images that come in some of the SPD stamp sets. Today, I will be using the Take A Load Off set.
Step 1: Choose your stamp pattern by placing stamps randomly on an acrylic block.
Step 2: From right to left, top to bottom stamp you images. I have used Tim Holtz- Tea Dye distress ink and Spectrum Noir Kraft cardstock for my desired look.
Step 3: Filling in the blank spots. For this I will lay my stamps directly on the card stock, so I can fill in the desired spots. I will then place my acrylic stamp block directly on top of stamps, ink and stamp.
Here you can see my finished card, using this technique…
If you’d like to try creating your own background paper using the Take A Load Off stamp set with this fun technique, you can find it HERE.
