Hi peeps. Happy Monday. Hope you all are staying safe and well. Vera here today. I find myself struggling to craft sometimes during this uncertain time. How about you? I think many of us experiencing this. However, I sure am glad that now and then I also find mojo cooperating & I am able to create. 🙂
I think it helps that this time started with one of my favorite products. I simply reached for my favorite dies, the Interlocking Circle dies. You know, I was so sad when I thought I lost this die. After using it for the release, for the life of me I couldn’t find it for weeks. Turned out it got stuck to one of the magnet sheet for another dies set. As soon as I found it, I was like yes…. let’s make card with it.
It all started with the dies and I created the whole card based on that. First, I did a light trace of the dies and add various colors to the traced area and then die cut the circles (if you want, you can also do the color after you die cut the circles, but remember that the lines are pretty fine and can easily get snagged).
Then I placed the leftover frame on the card panel and used it as a mask to guide me in doing the leaves stencil (Leaf Canopy Stencil). I tried to match the color on the circles to the leaf colors. Once that was done, I laid & adhered the cut out Interlocking Circles.
Next, I stamped and colored this cute bear and the envelope from the Hey Winter set. I fussy cut it and adhered with foam adhesive to the card. I finished by adding a sentiment from the Pretty Peonies set.
I love it when I get to combine several products on one card. Pretty much get to use stamps, dies and a stencil. Yay! Not too shabby when mojo is hit and miss these days.
Well peeps, that’s all from me today. Hope you enjoyed today’s card and may your week start off wonderfully. Cheers….
