Hi all. Vera here. I am excited to share today’s project as I am using what I consider some of my all time favorite sets from SugarPea Designs.
Here’s my card using Meadow Motifs, Interlocking Circles dies, Everyday Sentiments & Geo Tri Hex stencil.
To start with, I die cut the Interlocking Circles 3 times and then put them aside. I kept one of the die cuts leftover & I laid it on top of a cardstock panel. I stamped the flowers and leaves from Meadow Motifs on the opening as shown below. I used a strip of post-it-note tape to keep the pieces together.
Next, I layered the Geo Tri Hex stencil on top of the opening. Using the smallest blending brush, I blend in pink, orange and yellow on the opening, while being careful not to color the flowers or the leaves.
I removed the stencil and colored the flowers & the leaves. Once that was done I added a bit of shimmer with shimmer markers. Then I blended in the same colors I used for the stencil on one of the Interlocking Circle diecuts. I layered all the interlocking circles together. Tip: I laid the piece that I used for masking as a placement guide.
Once that was done, I stamped the sentiment from the Everyday Sentiments set on a strip of cardstock and adhered to the panel with foam adhesive. I adhered the panel to a card base. I decided to add a butterfly at the end, so the left side of the card does’t look too plain and that’s it.
I love the idea of matching the color of the inner stencil side with the outline part. I felt like it was stepping up my stencil game a bit more. 🙂
I hope you enjoyed today’s inspiration as much I enjoyed making this card. Have a beautiful day all. Stay safe & stay well.
