Ardyth here with you today. During this past grey, rainy weekend here in Toronto, my mind was very focused on the weather. I was also playing with some new Distress Oxide inks and some new (to me) SugarPea Designs Stamps and matching Sugar Cuts – Whatever the Weather.
I did some ink smooshing with the Oxides, in rainy colours. Who says a rainy-day card can’t be pretty, too?
I cut a circular panel and then cut out a few clouds from it. When I laid them back into the circle, they kind of disappeared, so to create some definition, I sponged the edges of the clouds with (regular) navy Distress Ink and edged them with sparkle. Finally, when I did lay them back in, I popped them up slightly in my circular panel.
For some cheery contrast from the stormy background, I sponged my umbrella in sunny yellow distress ink. I splashed some water droplets on for a ‘wet’ look and stamped a red heart.

The graduated yellow umbrella and water drops great look. Perfect clouds. This is a great under the weather card. Love it.
