Hi everyone! It’s Kara here. I played around with the Buffalo Check background stamp and wanted to make a woven wool plaid looking background. There are so many plaid patterns waiting to be stamped with the Buffalo Check simply by moving the paper up and over a quarter of an inch! I think I achieved the scratchy wool blanket affect:
This little guy from Gnome for Christmas has a few fall projects to do before winter sets in. He’s even dressed for the occasion with his pumpkin orange shirt and green cap to disguise himself in the pumpkin patch, should any humans appear.
I created a video to show how I made that wool plaid background and the rest of the card. You can watch it here or on the SugarPea YouTube channel:
Stamps: Buffalo Check, Gnome For Christmas, Sweet as Pie, Fall Fox
Thanks for coming over to visit! Have a wonderful day!

October 10, 2019 at 8:22 amYou gnome just how to draw me right back into the craft room, Kara!!!! LOve your wool-blanket-plaid!
This totally brings me back to my childhood – however [don’t ask me how Mom did it] our wool blankets were just as soft as could be! Man, do I wish I had a few of them today! xx
