Today we are introducing…
Having to send your condolences is never easy. With over 15 thoughtful and sincere sentiment choices, Heartfelt Sympathy will help you to find the right words to express your loving thoughts during a difficult time.
_
SugarCut – Sympathy is a stand-alone word die features a thin and dainty sentiment that can be used as a focal point on your card front or paired with a stamped sentiment. Designed to be used together with our Heartfelt Sympathy stamp set (sold separately) for quick, easy and professional paper crafting projects.
This is the type of card that we all hate to make, and yet when we need one, we really want it to be just right. For this sympathy card I kept it very simple. I used the medium sized bloom in the Pretty Peonies stamp set.
I began with a watercolored splash of color, once the panel was completely dry, I stamped the main flower image in Versamark ink and heat embossed with WOW Gold Embossing Powder. The beautiful scripted sentiment is the new SugarCut Sympathy word die cut multiple times and glued together for dimension. I kept the design simple and cut each of the watercolor panels with the different elements from the SugarCut Card Front Element Builder and adhered to white cardstock card bases.
Our team has some amazing and creative inspiration for you using the products featured here today. You can visit each of our designers blogs below for details on their projects. And while you’re there be sure to leave a sweet comment for them, giving you an extra entry to win today’s giveaway prize.
Thank you so much for joining us for Day 2 of Sweet Peeks! REMEMBER!! The entire Winter Product Release will be available for purchase on Friday, February 16th at 6PM EST.
Don’t forget to leave a comment here on this blog for your chance to win. We’d love to hear what you think about all of the products that we are showcased today.

February 13, 2018 at 6:08 amBeautiful cards. I particularly love the softness and simplicity of the bottom card. This year, I am trying to create some cards for different occasions to have on hand.
Andrea Hastilow
February 13, 2018 at 6:22 amVery subtle but beautiful font. Your card examples are so beautiful, it’s not the easiest subject to create a card for and worse as it’s the worst time for it.
Beatrix Revhelyi
February 13, 2018 at 6:26 amI love this Simpathy set, so nice. The font style is lovely. I create cards as I have inspirations and ideas so I have cards for occasions.

February 13, 2018 at 6:31 amLovely cards! I love the splash of blue and gorgeous font on the sympathy die. The gold embossed peony looks so pretty and elegant too. Sometimes I have occasion cards ahead of time and sometimes I am making them as I need them, it just depends on my crazy schedule.

February 13, 2018 at 7:36 amThis is a stamp set you hate to need, and hate to have to use, but one you really need to have in your arsenal of stamps. Great job on this set, the sentiments are so thoughtful and the font is really pretty. As for your question, I tend to make cards as needed, but I do keep a few already made up and ready to mail out.
Andrea Shell

February 13, 2018 at 8:07 amIt depends on the occasion. I usually keep lots of birthday cards on hand to give out to friends, but things like condolences or get well cards I make as I need them. This is a must-have set for every stamper.

February 13, 2018 at 8:24 amSympathy cards are the most difficult to make so I try to have several made ahead of time for when the need arises. This set is beautiful and will help us make lovely heartfelt sympathy cards. I try to be good and have a bunch of cards made ahead of time but often use them up and end up making more as the needs arises.
Angela Enlow Myhre
February 13, 2018 at 8:50 amI keep many different types of cards on hand but usually only make sympathy cards when I need them. Your sympathy stamp set is very nice.
Anne Sturgeon
February 13, 2018 at 8:55 amI do keep some occasion cards. I am now in an age bracket that is requiring too many “sympathy” cards. Part of life, but not my favorite part. I love the wonderful sympathy card Wendy has done. Simply stated but so very effective. Nicely done.

February 13, 2018 at 9:13 amI do try to keep a ‘stash’ of everyday cards on hand because you never know when you’ll need one, but I like to make certain cards, especially sympathy cards, to fit the person I’m sending it to. This stamp set and ‘sympathy’ die look like necessary additions to my collection.
cyndi morris
February 13, 2018 at 9:31 amBeautiful sentiments. I keep many birthday cards on hand, and I try to keep a couple of sympathy cards in case I need one and don’t have time to make one. I do try to make “special” cards as needed if time permits.
Debbie Rumpza
February 13, 2018 at 9:35 amThat’s a well-needed sympathy set. Something I don’t have in my collection yet. I have some cards on hand, but typically when an occasion rises, I want to make a personalized card for whoever it is.

February 13, 2018 at 10:49 amI usually keep birthday cards on hand and then make others as needed. Unfortunately I have to make a sympathy card now because a dear friend just lost one of his precious fur-babies.
The pup had a bad fall and became permanently paralyzed. 🙁

February 13, 2018 at 10:53 amI do keep sympathy cards on hand because there’s always a need for one quickly. Birthday cards and anniversary cards I’ll make as the occasion arrives because I make them more personalized to the person.

February 13, 2018 at 12:18 pmI like to think I always have the perfect occasion card on hand. But in reality, I usually have to make new card. Sometimes I’ll have a front made that I can just add a sentiment or little spark to meet my needs.
I love your new sympathy die and stamp set.
Joyce Casaldi
February 13, 2018 at 12:38 pmI tend to make them as I need them, I keep trying to make ahead but it never seems to happen.

February 13, 2018 at 3:25 pmSympathy cards are always hard to make but with the right sentiments it makes it a little easier. I like the water color card and perfect for the sentiment.

February 13, 2018 at 3:31 pmThis sympathy stamp and die set is lovely! Sympathy cards are not somethng you are inspired to make but it is definitely handy to have some made up and teady to use. I have a little card bank box that I keep with all sorts of cards. When I am making up a card specifically for someone, if it isn’t too invlved, I will make two or three more at the same time and they go into the box too. I have found this to be very handy at busy times.
Ana Korban
February 13, 2018 at 4:01 pmLovely sentiments…so hard to find the words to write on sympathy cards. It’s nice to have sentiment Stamps.
Lindar C
February 13, 2018 at 4:41 pmI now have a few cards for every occasion on hand after watching videos that said it was good to have some already made. Your card is lovely.
Amy M.
February 13, 2018 at 4:49 pmI always have good intentions to have occasion cards on hand, but they never materialize and I end up making them on an as needed basis.
Denise Ward
February 13, 2018 at 5:28 pmActually it is a bit of both. I always have a few cards ready for “general use.” These are generic thank you cards, or cards with a front that I can use for various occasions based on what kind of greeting I add to the front or sentiment I use inside. But I generally make all the “special” cards on an individual basis.
Lynn Hayes
February 13, 2018 at 6:17 pmI usually try to keep a few sympathy cards on hand if possible. Love your gorgeous card and then sympathy die and that pretty flower. Beautiful!

February 13, 2018 at 6:36 pmThese are beautiful cards! I really love this stamp set and die. I would like to start making cards this year so I have things on hand when I need them. Usually I am scrambling to make a card right when I need it 🙂

February 13, 2018 at 6:37 pmThe script on this set is so lovely, as is the water colour card shared today. As a new card maker, I tend to make them as needed.
Vicki Laster
February 13, 2018 at 7:39 pmThank you for sharing such a lovely card.
I take a weekly class and teach a weekly class so I always have cards on hand, but I usually save the sentiment until needed.
Often I will make a new card though since people I know have seen my cards as classmates, students, or friends and I want it to be s personal gift.
Kelly G
February 13, 2018 at 8:20 pmThe best selection of sympathy sentiments I have seen–I would actually use these! The only problem is that most cards would be coming from “us”, not “me”. May I suggest adding options to accommodate Our Sympathy?
Amanda Bodine
February 13, 2018 at 8:31 pmI usually make them as I need them, but I do keep a small stash on hand just in case. Sympathy cards being my least favorite, but this stamp set and die would make it easy. Love your example cards!
Nicki Wong
February 13, 2018 at 8:51 pmI make so many sympathy cards and this set is one I would love to add to my arsenal. Beautiful cards.

February 13, 2018 at 9:14 pmBeautiful sympathy set. I always have a few (under 5 each) for birthdays, get well, sympathy, thinking of you. I have a lot of older relatives and friends who I often send cards to and it’s wise to keep ahead a little bit!! Thanks for a chance to win.
Barbara
February 13, 2018 at 10:01 pmPerfect set for the purpose. Hope you have enough stamps and dies in stock.

February 13, 2018 at 10:12 pmI keep cards on hand sometimes, but most of the time I like to make them as needed to fit the person I’m sending it to. The cards I keep on hand tend to be the ones I made for card challenges! 🙂
Shona Chambers
February 13, 2018 at 11:00 pmI tend to make cards as they are needed, especially sympathy cards as I find them the hardest to make!!
karenladd
February 14, 2018 at 2:39 amThe older I get, the more sympathy cards I seem to need. I try to have at least one on hand for any sad occasion because it’s sometimes hard to come up with a design that seems suitable. When it comes to birthday cards though, I try to customize them to the recipient so make them as I go, as well as having a ready stash.
Lorraine Buttner
February 14, 2018 at 4:45 amI’m currently making cards as I need them, but hoping to start making more to have on hand.

February 14, 2018 at 6:41 amI usually only make them when I need them! Otherwise I just made happy cards 🙂

February 14, 2018 at 10:35 amSugarPeas,
So far your new release is amazing, the card front elements dies are awesome and I am a crafter who adores critters whether they are stamps or dies or both. The otters have stolen my heart. :O)

February 14, 2018 at 10:45 amBeautiful cards. I do a combination. I keep some on hand in my stash but sometimes I need one that is a little more personalized.

February 14, 2018 at 11:01 amSuch a lovely sympathy set. I make birthday, wedding and sympathy cards as I need them – because I like to specialize them to the recipient. But I make baby, thank you, thinking of you and holiday (Christmas, Easter, etc) to keep on hand.
Iris Soscia
February 14, 2018 at 4:03 pmLovely stamp set . I try to have occasion cards on hand but usually have to make the sympathy cards as needed.
Karen Page
February 14, 2018 at 4:56 pmWhile I like to tailor birthday cards to the recipient, sympathy cards are something I like to have a bunch on hand to choose from because customization doesn’t apply as much as it does for other cards, and sometimes you are hurting too, and that is not conducive to crafting. My mom taught me when shopping for sympathy cards to select one with pale or muted colors, so I keep that in mind when making cards.

February 15, 2018 at 7:22 amWell, if you have to make a sympathy card, this set has so many nice sentiments to help with the job.
I definitely don’t make cards ahead of time, because I enjoy personalizing the event and the person’s favorite things or colors. It would be nice to have some on hand, though, for convenience sake.

February 15, 2018 at 1:52 pmI make my cards as needed for the most part. I will make some Thank You cards ahead of time, but I try to make my cards for the individual. This new stamp set is very nice.
Tangii Crain
February 15, 2018 at 10:49 pmI make them as I need them 🙁 These really are the most un-fun and hardest cards to make, but this is a very sweet set.
Gail Plaskiewicz
February 15, 2018 at 10:57 pmSympathy cards are my least favorite to make. Whenever we go to a store and look at the Hallmark cards because my mom is looking for just the right one, I am always crying because of the sentiment. Then I never know how far I should go with the picture on the front. Glitter or not? Lots of color or not? Sequins or not? I wish someone would tell me what I should do because I don’t ever want to go overboard on a sympathy card like I would with a birthday card or some other card. Your cards are very pretty and I like the gold embossing powder very much. I don’t think I have that so I’m going to have to get some. I like these sentiments and I don’t have any for sympathy cards.
Every Christmas I say for my sisters I am going to make them a bunch of all occasion cards and do I ever do it? No! So guess what that means? I make them when I need them. I wish I could do that for my sisters and myself but I don’t. Maybe this year?
Kimberly Storti
February 16, 2018 at 5:59 amI usually make occasional cards as I need them. Beautiful set.

February 16, 2018 at 8:05 amIt’s always hard making sympathy cards but this set and die combo will make them beautiful. I make cards usually as I need them although I wish I had made a bunch of thank you cards to have on hand when the baby was born! I still need to send those out. 🙈
Kim Heggins

February 16, 2018 at 1:26 pmWhat a beautiful card! I usually always do cards as I need them, just so I can personalise them for the receiver.
