Autumn Blessings

Hello there, Nicole here with a clean and simple fall card inspiration.

When I saw the Stitched Autumn Icons die set, it was love at first sight. I have a weakness for fall themed stamps and dies and all things stitched. I decided to make a clean and simple card and let my die set be the focal point of my project.

First, I die cut all the pieces from the set and colored them using those small sponge daubers that you can put on your fingers and Distress Inks. I ended up not using all of the pieces but I’ll save them for another project. Because the pieces are a bit small, I put some Post-It paper behind them so I would have more space to hold them while I was ink blending.

For my background, I had something like a warm sunset in mind and thought, the Spirograph Mandala Stencil would work perfectly. I masked off the bottom half of my panel and did some ink blending using the stencil and Distress Inks. Then, I masked off the upper half and created the grass (also using Distress Inks).

To finish up my card, I adhered the leaves and the pumpkin with foam tape and added some white sequins to the background. I found this beautiful sentiment in the Indian Summer stamp set that went just perfectly with my image.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Have a blessed day,

Nicole
