Celebrate ~ You’re Amazing

Hi there and welcome to the last blog post of 2019!

Today’s card is for a lovely friend of mine who’s birthday is today, on New Year’s Eve. I wanted the card to be happy and bright and of course festive. The Cheers To You stamp set is just perfect for this occasion, it can be used for birthdays, New Years and more.

I started by stamping the word celebrate in crisp black ink. The Misti stamping tool came in handy to  stamp the sentiment  twice so I could make sure it’s really black. I feel like details like this are especially important on clean and simple cards.

Next, I stamped the fireworks. To give them a little extra interest, I stamped them first in light ink and stamped a second time with a smaller stamp but a brighter color. To fill in the gaps between the fireworks, the tiny stars from the set were perfect. I found another, even smaller star, that went well with my project in the Celebrate All The Things set. Yes, I went a bit crazy with the stars but hey, it’s New Year’s Eve and my friends birthday! 🙂

I love the Everyday Sentiments set a lot. There’s a sentiment for every occasion on it and I found one that went so well with the celebrate. I stamped it on turquoise card stock and did some heat embossing with white embossing powder. I die cut the words with the perfect matching die from the Sentiment Strips die set and adhered it to my card with foam tape. And last, I added some Star Dust Stickles for a little bling.

I hope you got inspired. Thank you so much for stopping by! We hope to see you again on the SugarPea Designs Blog in 2020!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Nicole
