For Unto Us a Child is Born

Inspired-by-Sweetness-Vera

Hi peeps. How’s it going? Vera here. Can you believe that we ‘re already on the last week of October? I don’t know about you, but for me, as soon as we hit the fall season, it seems time really fly by fast.

Anyway, as October ending soon, before you know it, Christmas will be here. And, Caring Hearts Card Drive is in full swing. So far, the cards are trickling in slowly. I am hoping that it’s because many of you are still busy working on your holiday cards to send in. 🙂

Now, for today, I want to share this Christmas card I made using the new SPD SugarCut – Nativity Scape dies.

To make this card,  I cut a panel from watercolor cardstock and on a piece of acetate I rub on various color dye ink pad, spritz it with water (mix with a little shimmer powder) and then press and drag the acetate on the panel. Let it dry or use the heat gun to speed up the process.

Because I mixed a little bit of shimmer powder with the water, it gives the panel a soft shimmer. In person, as you move the card around, you could totally see the pretty shimmer. Then, I die cut the panel and adhere to card base. Finished with sentiment from Come Let Us Adore Him set.

Clean and simple, but pretty. I really love the watercolor look. I hope you enjoy my card today as much as I enjoy making them. That’s all from me for today and may your day be a fabulous one. Cheers…
