Hi Friends and Happy Monday! It’s Emily Mydlowski (@popsofpaper) and I’m here this week sharing a space-themed card in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing. To create the card, I combined the To Infinity and Beyond and Follow Your Dreams stamp sets. When I saw the sentiment “Let your Dreams Take Flight” I knew I wanted to combine it with cute space-theme images and the rocket from To Infinity and Beyond was a perfect fit.
Here’s how the card came together.
I stamped, colored and fussy cut the two rocket ships. One in Aqua and another in Purple and Pink. I stamped the sentiment in the bottom right corner of a white card stock card panel with VersaFine Clair Ink in Nocturne.
I wanted the card to feel like the rockets were taking flight from the sentiment so I positioned them with foam tape close to the sentiment but offset to look like they are flying off the card. Then I stamped star images in the background to anchor the white space and added a few black star embellishments for extra pop.
When all that was completed, it was still missing a little something. I got super excited when I matched the card design with the purple stripe pattern paper from the Spots & Stripes paper pad. I can’t get over the awesomeness of these paper pads; they are perfectly sized to fit an A2 card! I adhered everything together and now it’s ready to take flight into the mail for a special someone with big dreams ahead!
I hope you enjoyed my card and it inspires you to combine your stamps in fun new ways. Thanks for stopping by and can’t wait to see you next week.
Big Paper Hugs!
