Hi SugarPeeps!
We have a new guest for April, please join us in welcoming the amazingly talented Jennifer Timko!
Here’s a little bit about her:
Hi everyone! My name is Jennifer and I live in Warrenton, Virginia. I’m a military wife, mom of 2 teenage boys and, in my day job, I’m a pilot for United Airlines flying the B757/767. I started stamping as a creative outlet in 2003. Over the years this hobby has led me to meet some of the most wonderful people and I’m grateful every day for my creative family. I love coloring with Copics but mostly I love learning new things. Working with SugarPea Designs this month is such a thrill and I’m so excited to be a guest for April!
And here’s her first creation for us:
I am thrilled to be here today with my first post as a Guest Designer for April. I think that rainbow colored projects always bring a smile and that was my motivation for today’s project.
The SugarCut Interlocking Circles Die is really unique and such fun to use. I first cut it out using black card stock and then it got really fun. Using multiple colors from the “spots” pattern in the Spots & Stripes Brights Patterned Paper, I used the die to capture the negative parts of the die. I like puzzles and I had a blast fitting the colors into the different areas in the circles. Best part, with the cut outs you can create multiples of this just putting different colors in different places.
After adhering the circles to the white panel, I chose the SugarCut Friends Word Die as the focal sentiment. I cut the shadow from vellum and the word from black card stock. The Everyday Sentiments set was perfect to complete the sentiment. I chose the Happy Birthday, stamped it in black and cut it out using the SugarCut Sentiment Strips Dies. I put the whole panel on a black card base and the card is ready to brighten someone’s day.
Thanks so much for stopping in today. Can’t wait to see you again for my next project. Have a great day!
